We suggest that you print and save this sheet by your timer or by your sprinkler shut of valve and that you wait until at least MID April to turn your system back on. These three steps take less than 5 minutes and will save you the $40 or more turn on fee.
Don’t forget about spring aeration, fertilizing and power raking!
This is how we left your system:
We leave all manifold drains outside CLOSED if you have caps for valves “E” and “F”, then they were left at a 45 degree angle and will need to be closed (turned perpendicular) in one step.
STEP ONE: SET VALVES TO PROPER POSITION.
OUTSIDE, close valves “C”and “D”.(closed means perpendicualr to the pipe)
THEN, Open valves “A” and “B” ( Open means parallel to the pipe)
NOTE, valves “E” and “F” should be closed now.
STEP TWO: TURN ON THE WATER SUPPLY
DOWNSTAIRS, Close the petcock first then open the main sprinkle. There are two types of valves. You will either have a Turn Type or a Lever Type.
